Horn Gap Rd, also known as FS 2060-200, connects from 2060 to the Potlicker trail and passes by the lower end of Horn Gap Trail. At times, Horn Gap Rd is overgrown and looks like single track. More recently, though with Ashland Forest Resiliency work, trucks have been driving this, so it is basically a road. Great views of Mt Mcloughlin.

History
Historian Jeffrey M. LaLande suggests that Horn Gap and Horn Gap Rd are named after an Applegate valley miner named John A. Horn. It’s possible that Horn Creek Rd (FS Rd 2060) is also named after the same person, though oddly there seems to be no record of a Horn Creek anywhere in the watershed.
