From the Mt Ashland parking lot, head down the Bull Gap trail (for the first half-mile it is double-track, then single-track). At the Bull Gap trailhead head up Lower Bull Gap trail. After ~2.5 miles, look for Missing Links trail and follow this down to the Four Corners TH. Head directly north–straight–to find the Catwalk trail. After a brief initial technical section, look to the left for the unmarked Marty’s trail. This section is a series of braided trails of varying difficulty (black diamond and double-black diamond signs appear at various places).
Marty’s terminates at Lamb Saddle. Join the Caterpillar trail and follow this to Lizard. Turn right at the bottom of Lizard (away from Jabberwocky) to cross FS Road 2060 to rejoin Caterpillar. On Caterpillar, take the first left turn onto Rabbit Hole, a short flow connector trail to the White Rabbit TH and the beginning of Alice in Wonderland. Follow Alice until reaching BTI. Turn left onto BTI and descend to Waterline and the Witzend TH.
