Trail events are one of our main activities because we are physically able to create and maintain trails and trail access in the Ashland watershed. AWTA and its volunteer members have been responsible for building and maintaining many miles of trails.
We need people like you to come out and help us create trails for today and for future generations. It’s a great way to meet new people, see Ashland’s newest trails, and get some exercise.
Come on and join us!
Trail Building Opportunity
Wonder trailbuilding on Saturday, January 27, 2018. We’ll meet at Bandergate (usual place) at 8:45 and carpool up to the work site. We should be back by 2:00 or 2:30. Post-work pizza and beer is a distinct possibility. Bring water, snack, solid footwear, and gloves. No experience necessary. Rain does not generally cancel, but wind or snow could, and/or we might work on a lower trail. For legal purposes, you need to sign our waiver and/or sign in.
Bandergate is located at the trailhead of the Waterline and Bandersnatch trails on Glenview Drive, just above and east of Lithia Park and the swimming reservoir. There is plenty of parking.
The Wonder trail will connect FS Road 2060 and the Fell on Knee trail on the west side of the watershed.
For all AWTA trailbuilding the level of activity varies widely so all help is appreciated. Please bring water, sun screen, work gloves and a lunch. Lower elevation trails may have poison oak present, so appropriate caution is advised.
Scheduled events are subject to weather conditions and additional events may be added. Complete a membership registration on this site to be included in email reminders prior to events. For additional information or questions on events, see our Facebook page and/or email us at email@example.com . More details to come.
